Getting Organised – Documents Online
Only yesterday someone suggested trying out Google Docs! My curious nature sent me rushing over to have a look! Incredible! I am continually amazed at what is available on the internet!
Google Docs lets you create different kinds of online documents – for free. You can share the documents with other people as well as storing them. Access your documents and files from any computer, anywhere in the world. In the suite you will find Google documents, Google spreadsheets, Google Presentations and Google Drawings. The layout is very easy and user-friendly.

Google Docs has come a long way since I used it last a couple of years ago. The moment it chewed up one of my documents (distorted formatting) I stopped using it. Maybe I should give it another try.
In the meantime I’m using Zoho.com.

Thanks for introducing this subject to me. Tammie (in NC) and myself (Alessa in SC) are fellow UBC bloggers and this product could be really helpful to us as we often email docs back and forth to each other as we jointly manage our blog. I use Google Docs, it’s really good for sharing with other people. I also use Dropbox which I guess is similar, but I can access it directly through My Computer and don’t have to go onto the website.

Hi Jo – thanks for your comment – I have Dropbox but have not used it much at all! I guess in your business you must use it a lot! How are you going with the blog challenge?
I have found Google docs, and the ability to share documents with Google+ really useful for my business. It means I can share a large number of documents or images with a client without overloading their inbox!

Funny to run across this post. I just started using Google Docs today out of necessity. We just got a new Mac and my husband doesn’t want to buy Numbers just yet because he thinks maybe a new suite will be released later this month.

Interesting idea Bev – must admit I’ve shied away from keeping documents “on-line”, but it does help a lot regarding contingency in the event of a hard drive failure.
I was like that for a while too – but it’s the way now I guess and it’s actually very exciting to see what you can do there!
